Ride/Walk Details

This is a “bike ride” NOT a race. Please do not speed and be courteous to fellow bikers, pedestrians and other motor vehicle traffic. Most of the route follows NYC Bike Paths and dedicated Bike Lanes. There will be an official “cue sheet” distributed the morning of the ride detailing turns and distances. The complete bike ride is about 24 miles. The walk is 5K over the Brooklyn Bridge and back.

The bike ride will take place through the streets and bridges of the greatest city in the world! You will experience incredible views of NYC and its waterways. The neighborhoods of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens will come alive as you pedal the streets and become immersed in their unique cultures.

Riding through Central Park you will pass The Pond, The Zoo, Wollman Rink, The Mall, Bethesda Terrace and exit at Strawberry Fields. A leisurely ride across 72nd street to Riverside Drive and the Elenaor Roosevelt Park and Statue.  A short ride through Riverside Park and your on the Hudson River Greenway. With the Hudson River on your right gaze at the Cruise Ships and the magnificent Intrepid Museum complex. Check out the Chelsea Pier activities as you approach the Lower Manhattan Skyline.

Ride pass the World Trade Center and 9/11 Memorial as you approach Battery Park with spectacular views of the Statue of Liberty and NYC Ferries. Finally, take a ride up the East River Bikeway with Downtown Brooklyn across the water and the South Street Seaport up ahead!
